Joey Yearley is the founder and designer behind the Joey Yearley brand, a travel-focused luxury label built on the belief that style and functionality should exist together.
Joey’s journey to fashion was anything but conventional. Raised in Alaska, he spent part of his childhood in the foster care system and experienced a challenging and unstable upbringing. As a teenager he faced significant personal struggles, including time spent in mental health facilities and a life that often felt uncertain.
In early adulthood, Joey encountered additional hardships, including periods of homelessness, substance abuse, and a life-changing divorce. Rather than defining him, these experiences became turning points that ultimately pushed him toward rebuilding his life with purpose and determination.
Through resilience, self-growth, and a passion for creativity, Joey transformed those difficult chapters into motivation to build something meaningful. The Joey Yearley brand represents that transformation — proof that reinvention and perseverance can lead to new beginnings.
Today Joey lives in Tennessee with his husband and their beloved animals, where he continues to design and develop the Joey Yearley brand. Inspired by travel, culture, and personal reinvention, his designs aim to create pieces that are both elegant and functional for modern travelers.
